Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in University Heights, Iowa. Completed plans call for paving for a road / highway; for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The Project will involve the following: Removal and replacement of PCC pavement panels on Mahaska Drive and mill and overlay of existing asphalt surface on Oakcrest Avenue. The work also involves removal and replacement of the adjacent PCC sidewalk curb ramps. Project work that impacts vehicular traffic on Oakcrest Avenue or use of the sidewalk curb ramps cannot start until June 7, 2023, and has a late start date of July 10, 2023. This portion of the work will be substantially complete, and ready for use on or before August 18, 2023. Project work that does not impact two-way traffic on Oakcrest Avenue or the sidewalk curb ramps can begin at any time and has a late start date of August 22, 2023. This portion of the work will be substantially complete, and ready for use on or before September 12, 2023. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
