Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in University Heights, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; and road / highway.
The scope of work involves replacing PCC panels on Melrose Avenue generally between Sunset Street and Koser Avenue; installation of updated and ADA compliant sidewalk ramps at the Melrose and George St intersection; and replacement of a block storm sewer manhole structure and an existing intake while revising the storm sewer alignment. The work also includes removal and replacement of several existing block structure sanitary sewer manholes and sanitary sewer main re-alignment at the George Street cul-de-sac, as well as installation of new water services, watermain realignment, and abandonment of a section of the existing watermain around the George Street cul-de-sac. Bids will be received for a single prime contract and shall be on a unit price basis, as indicated in the bid form. Bidding documents may be obtained by bidders and sub-bidders at Rapids Reproductions. Bidders are responsible for paying shipping fees for hard copy documents, and all postage checks shall be made payable to Rapids Reproductions. Bidders should confirm current shipping and handling fees with Rapids Reproductions. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the instructions to bidders. Question Deadline 04/30/2026 Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing.
