Description

Site work for a mixed-use development in University Heights, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a communication facility; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The project consists of horizontal directional drilling to furnish and install HDPE conduits of varying sizes in a joint utility trench to relocate existing overhead utilities and other utility lines that conflict with planned public improvement project work. Each company involved will supply structures for installation by the contractor to complete the buildout of the pathways and network infrastructure for each telecommunication company and MidAmerican Electric. Wire pulling will be performed by others. The scope also includes removal and replacement of concrete sidewalk or driveway panels as needed for bore pits and trenched locations. Bids will be received for a single prime contract on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. Bid security must be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Copies of the bidding documents may be obtained by bidders and sub-bidders at Rapids Reproductions. Bidders are responsible for paying shipping fees for hard copy documents and confirming current fees with Rapids Reproductions.
