The project consists of replacing existing high pressure sodium site lighting fixtures with new LED type lighting fixtures, replacing existing wiring with new, and adding a new walkway lighting fixture and pole. Bids will be received for a stipulated sum contract. Iowa Construction Sales Tax Exemption Certificates will be provided for this project. Each bid shall be submitted electronically through the documents provided at www.bidexpress.com with an uploaded copy of the bid security as set forth in the instructions. Bid security will be used as the measure of liquidated damages in the event of failure, neglect, or refusal of the bidder to deliver a signed contract or furnish the required 100% Contract Performance and Payment Bond within ten days after receipt of Notice of Award. No bid may be withdrawn for 45 calendar days after the date of opening. The project has a participation goal for certified Targeted Small Businesses, with a goal of 10% as specified in the Special Conditions. By statutory authority, a preference is given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the State of Iowa. The Iowa Board of Regents reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and to accept the bid deemed in the best interest of the Owner.
