Site work for a water / sewer project in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project consists of the replacement of water main along Ohio Street with new 8" DIP water main. Bids will be received for a unit price contract. Iowa Construction Sales Tax Exemption Certificates will be provided on this project. Each bid shall be submitted electronically through the documents provided at www.bidexpress.com with an uploaded copy of the bid security as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. Bid security shall be agreed upon as the measure of liquidated damages which the Owner will sustain by failure, neglect, or refusal of the bidder to deliver a signed contract stipulating performance of the work in unqualified compliance with Contract Documents or furnish the required 100% Contract Performance and Payment Bond within ten days after receipt of Notice of Award. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five calendar days after the date of opening. The participation goal for certified Targeted Small Businesses is 10%, as specified in the Special Conditions. The Iowa Board of Regents reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and to accept that bid which is deemed in the best interest of the Owner. Targeted Small Business participation goal for this project is 10%
