Remodeling of a conference / convention center in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Completed plans call for the remodel of a conference / convention center.
The project consists of, but is not limited to: the demolition of existing light fixtures, replacing and adding new light fixtures, as well as adding new ceiling tiles at Maucker Union in Rooms 006, 012, 014 and surrounding Concourses, along with the accessory spaces. See plans and specifications for a complete list of all rooms involved in the project. Bids will be received for a stipulated sum contract. Each bid must be submitted electronically through the documents provided at the specified website with an uploaded copy of the bid security as set forth in the instructions to bidders. Bid security is required as the measure of liquidated damages if the bidder fails to deliver a signed contract or furnish the required 100% Contract Performance and Payment Bond within ten days after receipt of Notice of Award. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five calendar days after the date of opening. There is a participation goal for certified Targeted Small Businesses, with a specified goal of 10%.
