This project involves seal coating eight street sections and multiple single lane drives within three cemeteries, for a total covering of 32,975 square yards of seal coat. Work shall include proper surface preparation and proper placement and compaction of the surface. Questions received less than five (5) days prior to the date for opening bids may not be answered. Bidders must provide a bid security as described and a scanned copy of the Bid Bond with their online submission. The successful bidder shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent of the contract price. Contract documents are available for viewing and download; bidders must register as planholders on QuestCDN to submit a bid. Only online electronic bids through QuestCDN will be considered. Prospective bidders may request interpretation of contract documents in writing. Any clarifications or changes will be made via addendum. A preference will be given to Iowa products and labor, and resident bidders will be allowed preference as against nonresident bidders from states or countries providing such preference to their own. Contractors and approved subcontractors will receive a Sales Tax Exemption Certification for applicable purchases. Failure to submit a completed Bidder Status Form may result in rejection of the bid.
