SAFETY & SECURITY WINDOW FILM PROTECTION APPLICATION General Description: Duval County Public Schools (DCPS) intends to enter into agreement for the installation of safety and security window/glass film as a forced entry deterrent as needed throughout the school district. The work is generally described as installation of approved impact resistant reflective safety & security window film to interior and exterior windows as needed, providing: o Enhanced protection for the spaces and to limit visibility into the space. o Interior windows including door lights for classrooms, administrative offices, and assembly spaces. o Other locations based on security risk. General Information: 1.1 SECTION INCLUDES A. Interior/Exterior Window Film B. Decorative Window Film C. Privacy Window Film 1.2 RELATED SECTIONS: Requirements in the Base Bid, and Task Order Portion of this Contract. A. All bidders are required to provide eight (8) pricing components in the bid proposal form. The seven components include: I. Base Bid Price for all labor and materials to install 3M Scotchshield Safety & Security Window Film Ultra Night Vision S25 from I - 500 sq feet. II. Base Bid Price for all labor and materials to install 3M Sun Control Window Film Night Vision Series 25 from 1 - 500 sq feet. III. Base Bid Price for all labor and materials to install 3M Scotchshield Safety & Security Window Film Ultra Night Vision S25 from 501 - 1500 sq feet. IV. Base Bid Price for all labor and materials to install 3M Sun Control Window Film Night Vision Series 25 from 501 - 1500 sq feet V. Base Bid Prices for the installation of Impact Protection Adhesive (IPA) around film edges and framing. VI. Trip charge: Single trip charge will be authorized for total coverage less than 500 square feet at one location. VII. Task Order, this is labor rate only for work deemed by the district to be over and above work defined in the base bid (greater than 1500 sq ft). Materials will be charged via Line #7 on bid proposal form if applicable.
