Site work for a water / sewer project in Altavista, Virginia. Working plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of November 19, 2025, design is 80% complete. Bidding is anticipated to take place the first part of 2026 once funding is in order. A general contractor will be selected during the month of June or July of 2026 with construction beginning soon thereafter. Rehab existing aeration process for the WWTP over 20 years old and at the end of its useful life. Aeration/Pump Station/Hyd. Rehab. The scope entails rehabbing the intake screenings and structures integrity. There will be new and improved aeration structures as well as VFD operated new high efficiency blowers and mixers, hydraulics flows after aeration need to be improved, with a new NPW system and effluent metering improvements.
