Sealed bids will be received by the City of Bristol, Virginia for providing labor, material and equipment pertaining to the supply and installation of the Landfill Permit No. 588 (588) landfill liquids treatment system for benzene and ethylbenzene reduction at the Bristol Integrated Solid Waste Management Facility in Bristol, VA. The sealed envelope shall be addressed to City of Bristol Purchasing Department, attention of Sara Thompson. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, installation of air stripper(s), pump systems / skid, approximately 500 linear feet (+-10%) of HDPE, PVC, Flex-Hose or other appropriate piping, tee connection to existing HDPE pipe, isolation valves, overflow bypass piping, and controls compatible with frac tanks that will serve as equalization for the treatment system. In addition, the scope of work may also include optional equipment such as pre-air stripper filtration system(s), vapor-phase granular activated carbon (GAC) treatment, liquid-phase GAC treatment, and foam suppression systems. All questions proposed by potential Bidders must be submitted in writing by 5:00 pm on Friday, April 21, 2023. All work will be in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications which are included as part of this Invitation for Bids and are available online and/or are on file with the City of Bristol and SCS Engineers. Bids will be received under the Single-Prime bidding method only. Bids must be on the standard form provided in the Bid Form section. Bids may be submitted via courier, mail, or hand delivered. Bids submitted via fax or electronic mail or other means will not be accepted.
