Site work for a water / sewer project in Reading, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The scope of work includes replacing sections of the water main located on Walkers Brook Drive. Work included: all excavation, backfill, dewatering, replacing existing water main with new eight-inch (8") cement lined ductile iron water main, installing water services, appurtenances, and structures specified on the drawings. and all other necessary work need to complete the project. Bid Security in the form of a bid bond, cash, certified check, treasurer's or cashier's check payable to the Owner, is required in the amount of five percent of the bid Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Workforce Development under the provisions of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27D, as amended, apply to this project The bidding and award of this Contract will be under M.G.L. Chapter 30, Section 39M. The Town of Reading reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or to award or not to award the contract for any reason the Town Manager determines to be in the Town's and/or the public's best interest.
