The work for which bids will be received includes approximately 150 linear feet of 72-inch HOBAS, a manhole and a HOBAS bend will be open cut replaced. The work includes excavation through the bedding material, backfilling with suitable bedding material to support the new infrastructure, and filling with the required Indiana materials for roadway construction. The work will also require bypass pumping of combined sewer flows for the duration of the project, dewatering of groundwater through the work site, and traffic control. Work shall also include all supervision, equipment, traffic control, granular backfill, pavement restoration (milling included), flushing, disinfecting, testing and all appurtenances necessary to complete the work shown in the Drawings and Specifications. All work must be ready for satisfactory and continuous operation, in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications. The above referenced project description includes items that are part of the Itemized Base Bid. The Contractor shall be responsible for all work shown on the plans and described in the specifications pertaining to the Itemized Base Bid, regardless of the installation method chosen. The Evansville Water and Sewer Utility further reserves the right to waive informalities, and to award the contract to the lowest and most responsible bidder (or bidders), all to the advantage of the Evansville Water and Sewer Utility, or to reject all Proposals.
