Demolition, site work, paving, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Joliet, Illinois. Completed plans call for the addition of a medical facility; for the demolition of a medical facility; for site work for a medical facility; for the renovation of a medical facility; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

This project is NOT just parking lot work, there is also renovation work being done to the building as well. The Joliet CBOC is seeking a general contractor to perform all the necessary requirements to demolish and remove the remnant structure left behind from the Silver Cross Hospital demolition. Repair the north wall, replace the roof, convert the existing boilers to a hot water system, and upgrade the Air Handling System. The new Air Handling Units (AHUs) will be installed in a newly constructed penthouse above the existing ambulance bay and will be capable of supplying 100% Outside Air to the CBOC. In addition, the property to the North of the Joliet CBOC will be developed to create a new Employee Parking Lot with access to a new basement level entrance. In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 8127 (Public Law 109-461), this project is a competitive Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. The contractor shall provide all tools, equipment, materials, labor, supervision, personnel, and shall do all things necessary that will result in the completion of the Joliet CBOC Parking Expansion construction project, in accordance with the attached Specifications and Drawings. This project is located at the: Joliet VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic 1201 Eagle Street Joliet, IL 60432 VAAR Magnitude of Construction: $10,000,000 to $20,000,000 In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 8104, Contracting Officer's shall not award contracts for minor construction projects in excess of the major construction statutory limit for a VA major medical facility project. This amount is currently defined as $20,000,000, which is inclusive of all construction, design and contingency costs. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
