The County of Lake (County) is utilizing local discretionary funding to provide Plans, Specifications and Estimate (P.S.&E.) packages for future construction projects to rehabilitate the pavement of existing roads in Lake County. The County has hired N.C.E. for the development of the 10-Year Pavement Rehabilitation Plan (10-Year Plan), which is expected to be completed by mid-April 2023. The 10-Year Plan is expected to generate a list of road projects to be completed over a ten-year timeframe, together with pavement rehabilitation strategies for the respective projects, with a goal of increasing the County-wide Pavement Condition Index from the current value of 35 to 50. Projects will be selected based on available funding, and there is no guarantee that some or all of the projects will go to construction. Firms, or anyone else acting on their behalf, are specifically directed NOT to contact any County employee or other agency employee for any purpose related to this RFQ other than as directed below. Contact with anyone other than as directed below WILL be cause for rejection of the SOQ. All questions regarding this RFQ must be directed only to: Scott De Leon, Public Works Director at scott.deleon@lakecountyca.gov The subject line must include: RFQ for On-Call Engineering Services for Pavement Rehabilitation Projects. The County reserves the right to reject any or all SOQs. This RFQ does not obligate the County to award a contract nor does it commit the County to pay any costs associated with the preparation and submittal of the SOQ. Requests for additional information required by a firm wishing to make a submittal to the County relative to this RFQ shall be made in writing. All SOQs and accompanying materials shall become the property of the County of Lake upon submittal. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
