This project is regarding the installation of solid surface kitchen countertops. The vendor shall
provide all labor and materials necessary to complete the work in a professional manner according
to scope of work and architectural drawings if supplied. Work is to be completed within 30 days of
award, unless modified below. This is a NYS Public Works project and prevailing wages are to be
paid. Site must be cleaned, and all materials secured at the end of each work day. Absolutely no
scraps, especially fasteners, are to be left unsecured. Upon completion of (Kitchen counter tops),
before removal of equipment and scaffolding, contractor is to schedule a quality control and quality
assurance inspection with Plant Superintendent.
SCOPE OF WORK includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following:
o One-inch Crushed Quartz Crystal counter top in the kitchen.
o All counter tops edges will have a 1/4 inch rounded unless other size approved with
OPWDD.
o The vendor will be responsible for the layout and measurements before install. All joints
will be supported over a solid cabinet to ensure the joints will not break over
unsupported areas. Joints over appliances or near the sink cut out will not be
accepted.
o A undermount double bowl kitchen sink will be required, the sink model will be supplied
by OPWDD. The sink will be a Kohler Prologue accessorized sink. Model # R31465-
2AC-N. 18 Gal. Dual-Mount 9 in. double equal bowl.
o The kitchen faucet will be a Moen Kleo Single handle pull down sprayer, Model #
CA87011SRS supplied by OPWDD.
o A back splash will be required. The back splash will be a matching color as the counter
tops. A standard of 4 inches height will be required.
o Color options must be provided by the vendor. Drawings are provided with the
approximate measurements for proposal purposes.
o Vendor will be responsible for any damage during the install.
