As of June 19, 2023, construction is underway and the contractor has 160 days to complete the project. For furnishing the necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, and guarantees thereof to construct West Galena Street Extension. This Contract provides for the extension of West Galena Street from South Jordan Road to South Portage Avenue. Improvements include, but are not limited to, excavation, grading, cement concrete curb, gutter and sidewalks, storm drainage improvements, water and sanitary sewer system improvements, asphalt paving, improvements on Jordan Road from Stanley Street to West Galena Street, street lighting, traffic signal modifications at Stanley Street and Jordan Road, retaining walls, fences, channelization, surface restoration, and other related work items. The Work shall be substantially complete within 150 working days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. All bidding and construction is to be performed in compliance with the Contract Provisions and Contract Plans for this project and any addenda issued thereto that are on file at the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, Granite Falls, Washington. Proposals are to be submitted only on the form provided with the Bid Documents. All Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, postal money order, cashier's check, or Proposal bond payable to the "City of Granite Falls" and in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total Proposal amount.
