The project is generally described as completing and sampling on Gulf Coast Aquifer test well by drilling 1,200 feet of 5 1/2-inch pilot boreholes, set of geophysical logs (one spontaneous potential, one gamma ray, one 4-point resistivity curve (8-inch, 16-inch, 32- inch and 64-inch), one TDS-NaCl-Archie log), completing up to three small-diameter wells within discrete zones determined by the Engineer, water quality samples from each small-diameter well and plugging each small-diameter well as per technical specifications in the contract documents. The right is reserved by the City of Sour Lake, as the City's interest may require, to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in the bids received. There is no cost to view the plans, and printing can be done through the website. Hard copies of Bidding Documents will not be sold. Complete sets of Bidding Documents shall be used in preparing Bids; neither Owner nor Engineer assumes any responsibility for errors or misinterpretations resulting from the use of incomplete sets of Bidding Documents. Owner and Engineer, in making copies of Bidding Documents available on the above terms, do so only for the purpose of obtaining Bids for the Work and do not confer a license or grant for any other purpose. Bid Security, only in the form of 1) a certified or cashier's check drawn on a Texas bank and made payable to the City of Sour Lake; or 2) a bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in Texas, in the amount of not less than five (5%) percent of the total bid, must accompany each bid at the time it is submitted. Bids must be submitted on the form shown in the Contract Documents. A Contractor Qualification Statement must also accompany each bid. Bids may be held by the City of Sour Lake for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. Upon award, the successful bidder will be required to furnish payment and performance bonds.
