Renovation of a municipal facility in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The State of Minnesota is requesting Contractor services to remodel an existing space to create and partition an area to form additional offices. The project will consist of, but not limited to, demolition of existing structures including electrical, modifying the ceiling grid, lighting, fire safety devices and air handling units, installing partitions as requested, including door and frame, window, lighting and electrical. Carpet and flooring demolition and installation is also included. Demolish partitions with associated electrical, along with door and frames as per plan. o Prepare partitions to receive new doors and frame for new location as per proposed layout. o Modify existing ceiling grid, lighting, fire safety devices, mechanical systems accessories and devices, and tiles as required to accommodate new proposed layout as required. Install new thermostat. Patch ceiling: utilize attic stock if needed. o Patch partitions as required smooth finish at area of work. o Rewire existing lighting and add additional light switches as required as per new proposed layout. o Install new full height demising partitions as per code. o Install 3'x7' fire rated exit door with 12" sidelight, frame, and associated hardware (electric strike, lever handle to match existing card reader) as per new proposed layout as per code. Provide modification to existing partitions as required. o Install new 3'x7' door and frame. Reuse door hardware from existing removed door. Factory finish to match existing. o Add full height window to existing wall. Size to be determined. o Remove and replace carpet as required at demolished walls. Prepare floor to receive new carpet as required. o Remove and replace vinyl base as required in area of work. o Additions/Removal/relocation of telecommunication devices (data outlets, card readers) to be coordinated with MNIT. o All work to comply to applicable building code requirements. The State reserves the right to require the Contractor to provide the original surety bond to the State. If such a request is made, the Contractor must submit the original surety bond within seven (7) calendar days upon receipt of the request. If the original surety bond is not received within seven (7) calendar days of receipt of the request, the State may take action including rejection of the response or cancellation of the contract for cause. If the solicitation security is in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or money order made payable to the State of Minnesota, it must be received by the Department of Administration, Office of State Procurement at the address identified below in a clearly marked and sealed envelope no later than the due date and time indicated in the solicitation. Late submissions will result in rejection of your response. Facsimile or copies of a certified check, cashier's check, or money order will not be accepted. To further this commitment, the Department of Administration operates a program for Minnesota-based small businesses owned by minorities, women, veterans, and those with substantial physical disabilities. You are strongly encouraged to set your MFA during business hours of 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., Central Time, Monday through Friday. You may experience delay setting your MFA after hours. The Contractor must have the capability to provide a payment and performance bond per project (furnish equipment and installation) if a project is estimated to be $175,000.00 or greater per Minn.
