Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check, bank cashiers check, trust company treasurers check, or bid bond (in the required form) for ten percent (10%) of the bid total. The work generally includes pavement overlay on six (6) roads and stone pavement on one (1) road in Bethel Township. The project work is located entirely in Bethel Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania. Individual descriptions of the work for each bid item are set forth in the bid documents. Questions shall be submitted via the Clarifications feature. Pursuant to Act 89, the prevailing wage rates and record-keeping procedures established by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry shall apply to the bid work. Bethel Township hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to reject any and all bids and to waive any omissions, errors, mistakes, defects, or irregularities in any bid at its sole discretion. Question Deadline 05/10/2023 at 5:00 PM ET The clarification deadline has been extended to Wednesday DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Pavement overlay along entire road (~6,440 linear feet), to include milling at roadway intersections and driveways. Additional milling shall be completed as necessary. Base repair, as necessary, to include milling of base layer (depth as required) and installation of new base material before installing new wearing course.
