Project Description: Provide construction services which will consist of improvements to the entire length of Boyle Place, Desota Drive, Fourth Street, Fulton Avenue, Railroad Place, Second Street, Third Street, Maier Street, and Van Veghten Drive., including but not limited to milling and overlay the pavement with full-depth reconstruction in certain areas, storm sewer upgrades, new accessible ramps, sidewalk replacement, areas of curb replacement and driveway repair. The total project length is approximately 7,230 linear feet. All disturbed areas will be restored to their original condition. The Bids for this project have been broken out into a Base and Alternate Bid. The Base Bid includes all improvements to the entire lengths of Boyle Place, Desota Drive, Fourth Street, Fulton Avenue, Railroad Place, Second Street, Third Street, Maier Street, whereas the Alternate Bid includes improvements to the entire length of Van Veghten Drive. Bridgewater Township will evaluate the successful Bid and determine whether to award the construction services for both the Base and Alternate Bid or for the Base Bid alone. Job Description: Milling and resurfacing the pavement with full-depth reconstruction in certain areas, storm sewer upgrades, new accessible ramps, sidewalk replacement, and areas of new curbs and driveway entrance repairs. The work included under this Contract generally includes improvements to Boyle Place, Desota Drive, Fourth Street, Railroad Place, Third Street, Second Street, Maier Street, and Van Veghten Drive as described in these specifications and as shown on plans entitled 2023-1 Roadway Improvement Project, dated April 24, 2023, prepared by Patrick T. Brennan, P.E., of Colliers Engineering & Design.
