Project Description: The Project consists of stream bank restoration along the Chambers Brook Tributary, West Branch Middle Brook Tributary, & East Branch Middle Brook Tributary, including clearing site, excavation of the excess sediment from the stream channels, restoration of the stream bank with stone filled gabion baskets, riparian zone landscaping plantings, and topsoiling, seeding and mulching. All work on this contract must be completed within sixty (60) calendar days from issuance of a Notice to Proceed Bidder shall submit with the bid a certificated check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total price bid The successful Bidder shall be prepared to deliver to the OWNER a performance bond for the project to guarantee the completion of the work for a period not less than two (2) year beyond after the date when final payment is due. Said performance bond is to be in an amount of at least 100% of the initial contract amount. The successful Bidder shall be prepared to deliver to the OWNER a payment bond for the project to guarantee the payment of the contractor's obligations for wages and materials supplied to the project location for a period not less than two (2) year beyond after the date when final payment is due. Said payment bond is to be in an amount of at least 100% of the initial contract amount. The successful bidder shall with the delivery of the performance bond submit an executed payment bond to guarantee payment to laborers and suppliers for the labor and material used in the work performed under the contract. The Township of Bridgewater reserves the right to modify these requirements, including limits, based on the nature of the risk, prior experience, insurer, coverage, or other special circumstances. The successful Bidder shall be prepared to deliver to the OWNER a maintenance bond for the project to guarantee the replacement of defective work or materials for a period of two (2) year after the acceptance of the work by the OWNER. Said maintenance bond is to be in an amount of at least 15% of the final contract amount.
