Demolition and site work for a residential development in Bridgewater, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
Provide construction services which will consist of the demolition of property located at 525 Steele Gap Road (Block 712, Lot 5) to include a two-story frame dwelling, a frame detached garage, a frame shed, slate patios and walkways. The on-site well shall be properly closed by a licensed NJ well driller, a Well Decommissioning report and approval from NJDEP Division of Water Supply and Geoscience to be obtained. All asphalt, glass, aluminum, roofing materials, wood framing, etc., and all debris as can reasonably be found on any typical demolition project in accordance with applicable Federal, State, County and Township ordinances, laws, and regulations are to be disposed of at a NJ licensed facility. The Demolition Project is located at 525 Steele Gap Road (Block 712, Lot 5) and consists of a two-story frame dwelling, a frame detached garage, a frame shed, slate patios and walkways. The Township is seeking bids for supplying ALL machinery, equipment, labor, trucking, and materials necessary to demolish the structures/features, shown on the enclosed location map, and the on-site septic system shall be properly pumped/closed, and the well shall be properly closed by a licensed well driller as follows: A. The contractor shall remove of and dispose of all materials and structures (in their entirety) including movable property in and around the buildings to be demolished including any concrete (slabs, footing, foundations), asphalt, glass, aluminum, roofing materials, wood framing, etc. and all debris as can reasonably be found on any typical demolition project in accordance with applicable Federal, State, County and Township ordinances, laws, and regulations. All materials to be disposed of at a NJ licensed facility. B. All structures, in their entirety, shall be demolished including the footing and foundations. The entire areas shall be back-filled. The footprints of all demolished structures and/or features shall be graded and stabilized per all applicable codes. This includes all disturbed areas to be stabilized by means of 4" of topsoil, fertilizing, seeding, and straw mulch. The intent for this demolition project is to return the site to natural conditions. In the event additional fill is required to bring the locations up to rough grade (considered 4" below final grade), the Contractor may need to import fill certified clean to NJDEP standards applicable to residential areas and provide the Township with proof of same. Fill is to be compacted in 8" lifts to rough grade to prevent long-term settlement. C. The on-site well shall be properly closed by a licensed NJ well driller. A Well Decommissioning report and approval from NJDEP Division of Water Supply and Geoscience shall be provided to the Director of Municipal Services prior to final payment. D. There is a stockpile of roofing material that was removed from the two-story frame dwelling. The contractor shall remove this material and properly dispose of this material. E. Remove Slate walkways from front and rear of the two-story frame dwelling. Lamp post and masonry steps located in front of two-story frame dwelling also to be removed and property The on-site well shall be properly closed by a licensed NJ well driller. A Well Decommissioning report and approval from NJDEP Division of Water Supply and Geoscience shall be provided to the Director of Municipal Services prior to final payment. D. There is a stockpile of roofing material that was removed from the two-story frame dwelling. The contractor shall remove this material and properly dispose of this material. E. Remove Slate walkways from front and rear of the two-story frame dwelling. Lamp post and masonry steps located in front of two-story frame dwelling also to be removed and property disposed of. F. Remove mailbox # 525 located in Township Right of way (Steele Gap Road). G. Any miscellaneous debris from the site shall be removed and properly disposed of. H. All debris and materials resulting from this demolition must be disposed of in an acceptable manner. The debris shall not be buried on-site. Bid date note: The bid shall be submitted in a sealed envelope: addressed to the Township; bearing the name and address of the bidder written on the face of the envelope; and, clearly marked "BID" with the contract title and/or hid # of the contract being bid. The bidder shall include one original and one copy of its proposal in its bid submission.
