Site Directions: East Of Rebecca Dr. in Ivanhoe Estates, Urbana, IL 1 Cedric Dr., Urbana, IL-61802 Project Category Code: Sanitary Sewer (Gravity), Sewer Inspection/Rehabilitation, Water Resources (River/Stream), Removal and Replacement of pipe, Utility Street Construction and Excavation, Environmental Remediation, Sitework/Excavating and Grading, Underwater Construction/Repair/Maintenance, Water and Wastewater Facilities, Water/Wastewater Infrastructure Description: A 36" sanitary sewer interceptor to the East of Rebecca Drive in Ivanhoe Estates has been exposed in several locations by a tributary to the Saline Branch Drainage Ditch. Two exposures will be eliminated by the relocation of 183 feet of sanitary sewer and the addition of two manholes. Another section of sewer will be protected with engineered soil stabilization bags and stream grading. The exposed pipe upstream (north) of the culvert under I-74 will be stabilized with reno mattresses and a cross vane weir within the stream. And an exposed lateral sanitary pipe (18" diameter) at the downstream end of the project near a footbridge crossing will be stabilized with a cross vane weir within the stream. Overall, the project consists of two types of work: sanitary sewer relocation involving bypass pumping and stream stabilization.
