Town of Lusk 3rd Street Surfacing Improvement Project includes the following work - Street surfacing improvements along North Diamond to 3rd Street and 3rd Street, Diamond to Main Street, totaling 5 Blocks. These improvements involve the removal of roto mill tailings, street subgrade preparation, placement of crush base and asphalt surfacing including adjusting related utility structures and appurtenances within project limits. More specifically, adjusting manhole and water valves. Estimated construction cost is $600,000 - $700,000. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of 5% percent of Bidders maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates) and in the form of a Bid bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraph 6.01 of the General Conditions. Such Bid bond will be issued in the form included in the Bidding Documents. American Iron and Steel Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term iron and steel products means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and Construction Materials. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) Qualified Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) are encouraged to submit bids on this project. Bidders that use a subcontractor(s)/supplier(s) are required to make a good faith effort at soliciting DBE subcontractor/supplier participation. Bidders shall submit the required DBE Good Faith Effort Documentation form and other related forms with their bids. Wyoming Preference Pursuant to W.S. 16-6-106, preference is hereby given to materials, supplies, agricultural products, equipment, machinery, and provisions produced, manufactured, or grown in Wyoming, or supplied by a resident of the state, quality being equal to articles offered by the competitors outside of the state.
