Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Ashland, Virginia. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; and sidewalk / parking lot.
This project includes widening of Route 1 to include left turn lanes, raised medians with selective landscaping, drainage improvements, and pedestrian facilities. This project is administered by VDOT with a possible two percent (2%) Town match required. Capital Improvement Program (CIP) FY 2020-2024, As of August 18, 2023, per owner, this project is being administered by the Virginia Department of Transportation. The project is in the final design phase, anticipating advertisement at the end of 2023. A design consultant has been established, however the VDOT would prefer to be the contact as they are managing the project. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
