The JV Fletcher Public Library, in Westford, MA (the project) consists of the partial demolition, and construction of a new three-story, steel framed addition to the existing historic Library, minor restoration, and renovations to existing historic Library. The new addition will have concrete foundations, concrete slab-on-grade first floor, and an elevated slab at the second & third floors, new paved parking lot, and associated sitework. The addition will be clad with brick and metal panel siding, and include aluminum windows, both shingle roofing and flat roof membrane. Sitework includes but is not necessarily limited to: demolition of an existing 2-story wood and masonry framed addition, with concrete foundations, tree and brush clearing, excavation, grading, drainage, and underground utility systems, demolition of the parking lots and paving, new bituminous concrete roadways and parking areas, granite curbing, landscaping, concrete pavers, modular retaining wall, fencing/guardrails and site furnishings, and work throughout the site. The building includes but is not necessarily limited to; insulation, Louvers, new wood and hollow metal doors, metal stud gypsum drywall partitions, carpet, various millwork, cabinetry and trim, restroom finishes, window treatments.
