Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Elk Point, Alberta. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
Work shall include the installation of a new bridge culvert over Telegraph Creek, located 21 km southeast of the town of Elk Point (SW 17-56-5-W4M). The Contractor shall install a 3.36 m diameter Structural Plate Corrugated Steel Pipe (SPCSP) culvert by 95.10 m invert length as per the Drawings and Section 18 of the Standard Specifications for Bridge Construction. The culvert will be located on a 47-degree RHF skew to the local road, centred at Station 5+550.000. The Scope of the Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: Traffic accommodation Site isolation, turbidity monitoring and fish capture and release Demolition and disposal of existing bridge structure Excavation, including installation of geotextile filter fabric Haul and assembly of culvert materials Placement and compaction of backfill, including backfill material testing Concrete end treatment, including testing and small bridge plaque Installation of heavy rock riprap erosion protection Roadway work Supply and install new Class B fencing Installation of permanent environmental protection devices Documents can be obtained from https://buildworkscanada.com
