Be sure and reference the ITB number that the questions are related to NTENT: The intent of this Request for Quote (RFQ) is to establish a firm fixed price contract with a qualified contractor to manufacture, deliver and install a new Electronic Message Center at the Okaloosa STEMM Academy, located at 379 Edge Ave, Valparaiso, FL. SCOPE OF WORK: Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, tools, materials, equipment and resources as may be required to manufacture, deliver and install a new electronic message center at the Okaloosa STEMM Academy. 1) Contractor shall remove existing message center and replace with new Daktronics GS6 32x100 19.8 MM 2V Monochrome Red sign with wireless communication and cloud-based software (or approved equal). 2) Contractor shall make structural modifications to existing message center to mount new display per the Florida Registered PE engineered drawings submitted at time of permit application. 3) Contractor shall also provide training of operation and warranty support for the Message Center in accordance with the specification stated herein. The successful bidder shall be responsible for delivery of the LED message center to the school and all materials necessary to complete the project. 4) Contractor shall secure a permit from the Okaloosa County Growth Management Department prior to the start of installation and display as required on the job site. 5) Bid price shall include all freight charges to the school location (F.O.B. Destination). Delivery and installation must occur between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on a regular Okaloosa County School District (OCSD) business day, unless arrangements have been made by the purchase order originator. 6) The Contractor shall be responsible for connecting the message center to the electrical service provided to the sign location. Prior to any electrical hook up, Contractor shall contact Jon Myers, Foreman with the Okaloosa County School District at (850) 305-2968. If additional electrical service is necessary, electrical service requirements for the sign to be installed shall be provided at that time. 7) Upon completion of the message center installation, Contractor shall conduct a demonstration (handson instruction) of the equipment with the designated school staff to verify that the equipment is fully operational and in compliance with the contract specifications. Any and all deficiencies shall be promptly and permanently corrected prior to the final acceptance of the equipment. Specifications for the message center are included in this Invitation to Bid but it is recommended that all interested contractors visit the school campus to view the sign location.
