Bidders must comply with all conditions provided in the information for bidders. The City has the right to refuse any and all bids. Every request for such interpretations should be in writing, addressed to Kris McAloon, P.E., PO Box 1880, Collegedale, TN 37315, or kmcaloon@collegedaletn.gov and to be given consideration, must be received at least five days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids. Any and all such interpretations and any supplemental instructions will be in the form of written Addenda to the Specifications, which, if issued, will be mailed by certified mail with return receipt requested to all prospective Bidders, not later than three days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids. Failure of any Bidder to receive any such Addendum or interpretation shall not relieve such Bidder from an obligation under his bid as submitted. All Addenda so issued shall become part of the Contract Documents. The project consists of the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment, as further defined within Section I - General Instructions, for the improvement of the following roadways/sections, as identified on the maps included at the end of these specifications: 1. Tallant Road (Loblolly Lane to Eagle Feather Lane) 2. Sherry Lane 3. Collegedale Pump Station driveway This project also includes the full-depth reclamation of Swinyar Drive, between Apison Pike and Leyland Drive. It is anticipated that there will be an initial 5" thick milling of the existing surface prior to the 12" thick FDR of remaining materials. Specific pavement evaluation and design requirements of this road section are included in Appendix A at the end of these specifications. The Contractor shall follow the Special Provisions in Appendix B when performing the FDR operations. Included on the Swinyar Drive project is the installation of a colored, stamped concrete within the verge area along Little Debbie Park, as shown on the maps located at the end of these specifications. At the conclusion of all paving, the installation of appropriate thermoplastic traffic markings, including stop bars, center lines, turn arrows and fog lines, will be required. The Owner reserves the right to wave any informalities or to reject any, any part or all of the bids, and to extend the date for the receipt of bids. Bidders must comply with all Local, State and Federal requirements for bidding, construction or installation of the work.
