The EDGE Participation Goal for the Project is not required Contract Estimated Cost General Contract (Base Bid) $358,460.00 Alternate No. 1 (Granite Base on 2nd Floor) $34,600.00 Alternate No. 2 (Linear Lighting on 2nd Floor Corridors) $23,400.00 Alternate No. 3 (Paint Remaining Doors and Frames in Corridor) $6,900.00 Total with All Alternates $423,360.00 SUMMARY Extent of selective demolition work is indicated on drawings. Types of Selective Demolition Work: Demolition requires the selective removal and subsequent offsite disposal of, but not limited to, the following: o Demolition, alterations, and removal of all existing interior building elements as shown such as flooring, & thresholds, etc. in connection with the project. Include removal of caulks and sealants which would otherwise interfere with new work. o Demolition, alterations, and removal of all existing interior electrical items as shown; such as outlets, electrical fixtures, wiring, switches, panels, boxes, etc., in connection with the project. o Follow all Local, State and Federal regulations in the removal and disposal of any asbestos removals encountered during demolition. o Follow Sinclair disposal & recycling requirements. Related work specified elsewhere: o Remodeling construction work and patching is included within the respective sections of specifications including removal of materials for re-use and incorporation into remodeling or new construction. o Termination of pipes, conduits, light fixtures, ducts, other mechanical and electrical work are specified by respective trades. Submittals: Provide a detailed sequence of removal work to ensure uninterrupted progress of Owner's on-site operations. Occupancy: Owner will be continuously occupying areas of the building immediately adjacent to areas of selective demolition. Conduct selective demolition work in manner that will minimize need for disruption of Owner's operations. Provide minimum of 72 hours advance notice to Owner of demolition activities which will impact Owner's normal operations. Condition of Structures: Owner assumes no responsibility for actual condition of structures to be altered. Conditions existing at time of inspection for bidding purposes will be maintained by Owner in so far as practicable. However variations within structure may occur by Owner's personnel prior to start of removal work. The Owner has the right to remove any existing items in the buildings before the removals or demolition work begins. Partial Demolition and Removal: Items indicated to be removed but of salvable value to Contractor may be removed from structure as work progresses. Transport salvaged items from site as they are removed. Onsite sale of removed items on site will not be permitted.
