Site work and paving for a road / highway in Morgantown, West Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Project estimate atleast less than $1,300,000.00. Issuance of Notice to Proceed 6/6/2023* Substantial Completion 8/5/2023* Final Completion 9/5/2023* 1. Mobilization and demobilization 2. Maintenance of traffic and a. Traffic Control Devices per the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices 3. Scratch Courses 4. Grading of granular surfaces prior to paving 5. Tack Coat 6. Cleaning of pavement immediately before resurfacing 7. Cleaning of street and sidewalk areas immediately after resurfacing 8. Disposal of millings and excavated materials 9. Posting of "No Parking" signs in project area 48 hours before any work that would impact parking on or adjacent to the project site. 10. Burned or Milled joints, including a. Any additional milling at intersecting streets / street aprons / curb ramps b. Milling of joints that have cooled past specifications 11. Cleaning of ROW after milling 12. Storm Water Protection 13. Excavation related to any of the listed bid items 14. Backfilling of voids created by construction activities and a. Seeding/mulching of exposed soils 1. HMA Bid Items (1, 2) a. Measurement for payment will be made in tons of material actually placed. No Payment shall be made for amounts delivered but not used in this project. Quantities shall be determined from the total weight slips for each vehicle load weighted upon an approved standard scale or from digital printout slips from an automatic batching plant and verified by the Inspector. 2. Bid Item 3 - Milling a. Measurement for payment will be made in square yards of the area milled. 3. Bid Item 4 - Asphalt Pavement Base Repair a. Measurement for payment will be made in square feet of the area repaired. Measurement must occur and be verified before overlay. Contractor and City's PM and/or representative will each record the billable units of these repairs and reconcile before overlay or at least weekly, whichever comes first. 4. Bid Items 5 & 6 - Curb Ramp and Sidewalk Installation (Structural Concrete, all types) a. Measurement for payment will be made in square feet of concrete placed. Curb ramps are distinguished from adjacent sidewalk installation even if placed with the same concrete placement (pour) by their deviations from standard sidewalk dimensions (in that curb ramps possess compound horizontal and vertical curves, grades, and/or detectable warning surfaces). 5. Bid Item 7 - Speed Hump Installation a. Measurement for pavement will be made in each speed hump installed. 6. Bid Item 8 - Concrete Curbing a. Measurement for payment will be made in linear feet of separated concrete curbing installed. Quantities shall be determined by field measurements of the curb installed and verified. Any curbing placed monolithically (abutting and at the same time with the mass of curb ramps or sidewalks) will not be paid under this item but rather considered incidental under the respective curb ramp or sidewalk item, EXCEPTING landscape curbing / knee walls protruding up to 12" ABOVE the curb ramp which will be paid under this item. 7. Bid Item 9 - Asphalt Curb Forming a. Measurement for payment will be made in linear feet of asphalt wedge curbing formed during normal paving operations.
