Site work and renovation of a detention facility in Jennings, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility; and for site work for a detention facility.
Proposals for the work will include all labor, materials, and equipment to complete the project. A Contractor's License is required. No bid bond is required if the project is under $50,000.00. Each bid must be placed in an envelope, sealed and marked on the outside: "Bid Enclosed for Jeff Davis Regional Jail Foundation Repair for Jefferson Davis Parish Police Jury; Project number: 222012, Attention: Rebecca Gary, Secretary Treasurer, 304 North State Street P.O. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause as permitted by LA. R.S. 38:2214 (B). The ability of an entity to reject any bid is applicable only when administered in accordance with the Public Bid Law. In accordance with LA. R.S. 38:2212 (B) (1), the provisions and requirements of this section, and those stated in the Bidding Documents shall not be waived by any public entity. The Project includes the following Work: Cease the observed settlement at the Jailhouse concrete slab foundation. Contractor shall use methods that are minimally invasive to existing infrastructure and daily operations.
