The National Park Service, Northeast Region, New England Major Acquisition Buying Office intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a firm fixed priced construction services contract, subject to the Davis-Bacon Act, to furnish all labor, supervision, supplies, transportation, equipment, tools, materials, all supplementary or miscellaneous items, appurtenances and devices incidental to or necessary for the project required to complete the work in accordance with the Contract Documents, Federal, State and Local regulations. The Contractor is to furnish all transportation, vehicles, labor, supervision, supplies, equipment, tools, materials, all supplementary or miscellaneous items, appurtenances and devices incidental to or necessary for services required to complete the work in accordance with the Contract Documents, Federal, State and Local regulations. The principal features of the Work include (but are not necessarily limited to) the following work items: The Work includes replacing approximately 2,260 sq ft of timber barn flooring with a new aggregate flooring system, to accommodate up to 14 large draft horses. This will include demolition work, removal of debris from crawl space, rebuilding brick support structures, replace support posts, beams and stringers, installation of new aggregate and rubberized flooring, and necessary drainage structures. The NAICS code for this project is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction and the small business size standard is $45 million. The order of magnitude for this project is estimated to be between $250,000 and $500,000. Location of Work: Acadia National Park, Wildwood Horse Stable, Park Loop Road, Mount Desert, Maine.
