Demolition, site work, paving and renovation of a civil project in Mount Desert, Maine. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; for site work for a water / sewer project; and for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

Work under this project includes, but is not limited to, improvements at the Garry Moore Pump Station and the Gilpatrick Cove Pump Station. Alternate Bids include minor work at the Northeast Harbor Wastewater Treatment Plant. At the Garry Moore Pump Station, the work includes installation of a new wet well and transfer switch and all associated work including erosion control, demolition, site clearing, excavation, earthwork, pavement, sewer and air release drain lines, manholes, lawns and grasses, pavement, concrete, metals, and access hatches. Modifications to the Gilpatrick Cove Pump Station include membrane roofing, windows, control panel, penetration repair, transfer switch, HVAC improvements, and all associated work including demolition, concrete, controls, metals, painting, insulation, gutters, and all electrical work, mechanical work, and incidentals as required for a complete project. Alternate Bid No. 1 includes removing existing cedar shake siding, strapping, and trim on the Gilpatrick Cove Pump Station and replacing with new vinyl simulated cedar-shake style siding and incidentals as required for a complete installation. A certified check or bank draft payable to the Owner or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and Surety Company in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the Bid shall be submitted with each bid. No bid may be withdrawn for at least 90 days after receipt of bids unless released by Owner.The successful bidder will be required to submit Performance and Payment Bonds, each equal to 100% of the Contractor's bid price, as specified by the General Conditions. The successful Bidder will be required to submit proof of liability insurance as specified by the General Conditions, the Supplemental General Conditions, and such construction insurance (e.g., fire extended coverage, worker's compensation, public liability and property damage, and "all risk" builders risk) as is customary and appropriate. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept any bid that it deems to be in its best interests, award the project to the "Lowest Most Responsive Bidder", and to waive any irregularities in bidding. The Notice to Proceed will be delayed until the Fall of 2021 such that no construction work is started until after Labor Day, 2021. The project schedule shall then be set such that all work is fully completed by Memorial Day, 2022.
