Renovation of a sidewalk / parking lot in Tupper Lake, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a sidewalk / parking lot.
The Tupper Lake Housing Authority, herein called the Owner, in accordance with Section 103 of Article 5-2 of the General Municipal Law, invites the submission of sealed bids for the construction work involved with the Parking Lot Replacement: Phase 1 as follows: The Work of the Project generally consists of the furnishing all labor, tools, materials, and equipment required to demolish +/- 47,000 SF existing asphalt parking lot, and replace with a new full depth asphalt and subbase section. The work includes replacing several storm catch basins with new structures, refurnishing an existing retaining wall, and replacing existing sidewalks with new asphalt walkways, along with other associated work. It is strongly recommended that all Bidders visit the site and thoroughly familiarize themselves with the conditions of the work. Arrangements can be made by contacting the Owner. Questions regarding the project must be submitted in writing to cbernd@gymodpc.com and will be accepted until one week prior to the bid opening. Proposals in excess of $100,000 must be accompanied by either a Bid Bond issued by a surety company which shall insure the Owner to the extent of ten percent (10%) of the Proposal or a certified check to be used by the Owner to insure the Owner in lieu of a bid bond to the extent of five percent (5%) of the Proposal. Proposals less than $100,000 must be accompanied by a certified or bank check in the amount of 5% of the proposal. A performance and payment bond will not be required from the selected contractor for proposals less than $100,000, However the Owner may require another form of security for faithful performance. Sample forms for bid, bid bonds, performance and payment bonds and construction contract documents are included in this package.The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bonds. Attention is called to the provisions for equal employment opportunity. All contracts exceeding $10,000 shall contain a provision requiring compliance with Executive Order 11246, entitled "Equal Employment Opportunity," as amended and as supplemented in Department of Labor regulations (41 CFR Part 60-1 subpart A)". The OWNER reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informality in the bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the OWNER. The General Municipal Law of the State of New York requires that bidders certify, under penalty of perjury, that bids have been prepared without collusion with other bidders, subcontractors, suppliers, etc. This certification is included within the Bid Form. MBE/WBE/DBE's are encouraged to submit.
