The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Faithful Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price. Each bond shall be in the forms set forth herein, shall be secured from a surety company that meets all State of California bonding requirements, as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120, and that is a California admitted surety insurer Deadline for questions from prospective Offerors is FRIDAY, JUNE 2, 2023 at 5:00 PM. Questions received after this date and time may not be answered. Questions sent to other City personnel may result in the disqualification of your proposal. All questions should be emailed to MICHAEL JAMES, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR at mjames@shafter.com. Questions must reference the project name HISTORICCORERECREATION REHABILITATION AND ENHANCEMENT PROJECT - SKATEPARK EQUIPMENT UPGRADES when requesting information. As of May 16, 2023, the due date has been confirmed with the owner.
