Per the owner, as of May 9, 2024, construction for this project started on January 8, 2024, and the project is nearing the end of the construction phase. Closed solicitation has been included below for refernce. ............ Project Type: Engineering/Civil Ownership: Public Project City, State: Shafter, California Pre-Qualification for Bidders: Not Required The City of Shafter requests proposals from qualified firms for the DESIGN OF STRINGHAM PARK SITE AMENITIES. The City received grants and other funding to design and construct site improvements at Stringham Park, located at 631 James Street. The improvements include a parking lot for park and public transit use, interior lighting, a new playground, an irrigation system replacement, two separate shelters for recreation and transit use, and new tree planting. The estimated value to construct the improvements is $700,000. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
