Services to be considered for this "Model Block" project include, but are not limited to, affordable housing, retail opportunities, commercial/retail/office opportunities, community resource/family success center, and onsite parking. The community resource/family success is intended to include the St. Lucie County Community Services offices (Housing, Human Services and Veteran Services) as well as Women, Infants and Children (WIC) and Florida Community Health Center (OB-GYN/Pediatrics). Consideration should be given to the following elements as well: o Be an aesthetic and economic stimulus for existing revitalization efforts. o Supporting the development and growth of minority-owned small businesses. o Present an attractive enhancement to the surrounding community. o Represent a timeless quality development where people want to patronize. o Take advantage of surrounding public transit routes. Other complimentary services are welcomed. he Moore's Creek Redevelopment Project (a.k.a. Avenue D Model Block Project) is comprised of multiple parcels of land owned separately by each of the Parties and generally located at the corner of Avenue D and N. 7th St. in Fort Pierce. The specific parcels of land available include: The City of Fort Pierce owned parcels are located on North 8th Street along Moore's Creek. The parcels are currently being utilized as part of the Moore's Creek Linear Park which includes sidewalks, lighting, and stormwater features. The three (3) City of Fort Pierce parcels total approximately 0.59 acres, as described below: Parcel ID 2410-601-0202-000-6 o 0.25 acres in size; with a Future Land Use designation of 'COS' Conservation/Open Space and zoned 'OS-1' Conservation and Open Space.
