The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo is seeking quotations from qualified and experienced general contractors with sufficient capacity whose primary area of service delivery is installation or rehabilitation of paved trails and green spaces to complete the rehabilitation of a portion of Birchwood Trails System in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. The Birchwood Perimeter Trail offers a variety of outdoor, nature-oriented activities such as walking, hiking, bicycling, and wildlife viewing. An improved perimeter trail around the neighborhood will allow for greater safety and community well-being. This trail has reached its life cycle as it was built about 15 years ago. It needs to be refurbished as it has shown cracks, puddle holes, and root invasion. The trail also needs to be tied up with the existing green gyms for easy access to users.
