Renovation of a municipal facility in Auburn, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

**As of February 22, 2022, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The City of Auburn is exempt from the payment of sales and compensating use taxes of the State of New York and of cities and counties on all materials, equipment and supplies sold to the City of Auburn pursuant to this Contract. The Bid is subject to MBE/WBE participation requirements and preliminary Statement of Utilization of MBE/WBE must accompany each Bid. MBE/WBE participation requirements shall be in accordance with NYSEFC goals, which has a combined minimum of 30%. The City of Auburn reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids o 8 ft. wide overhead door to allow access from exterior to area for installation. o Bidders will be required to perform site visit to determine location of Generator for proper installation. o Generator must be compatible with existing Zebra Mussel controls and piping (bidder shall verify all controls and hookups via site visit) o Application point piping already exist for installation including 100 ft of twin 3/8 inch PVC and 1700 ft of 2 inch HDPE. o An 1-1/2" schedule 80 PVC batch tank vent piping run above the roof to disperse any chlorine dioxide fumes safely is required. o NO finished water will be available at setup location (only piped in low turbidity, raw water from discharge side of raw water pumps) The City of Auburn is in the process of obtaining bid proposals from qualified bidders for a Chlorine Dioxide Generator that shall be furnished and installed with start-up and proper training provided by the lowest awarded bid. The City of Auburn currently has an existing Zebra Mussel system, this new Chlorine Dioxide Generator will be utilized for pretreatment of potable water as well as Zebra Mussel control. The chemical will be delivered to a diffuser at the intake crib,1800 linear feet out into Owasco Lake. This system shall be designed to produce 90 Pounds Per Day (PPD) instantaneous rate of chlorine dioxide. The generator is based on a vacuum Eductor which provides the motive force to safely pull the chemicals into the reaction zone. The tank concentration is based on manual rotameters and the production rate is delivered by a manually variable Sigma diaphragm pump.
