The South Whitehall Township has seven (7) water storage tanks that require scheduled maintenance over the course of the next 5 years. The PPL, Cedarbrook and Brickyard storage tanks shall be drained of water (by Township Public Works staff), inspected, cleaned on both the interior and exterior surfaces, and returned to service. The other four (4) storage tanks, Jacoby, K-Mart, Birch and Dorney are underground tanks with only interior inspection is needed in 2024 only. The Township staff shall be responsible for refilling the tanks. Bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid price shall be submitted with the bid. A performance bond of one-hundred percent (100%) shall be submitted within ten (10) days after the date of the Notice of Award. The Successful Bidder shall obtain all required permits, rights of way, and licenses associated with performance of the Contract The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to accept, either in whole or in part, any one bid or combination of bids and to accept the bid which it determines in its best interests. The Township also reserves the right to waive or permit the curing of any informalities or irregularities in a bid as permitted by law. CLARIFICATION DEADLINE : 6/28/2023 4:00 PM
