Queenstown Creek Dredging/Placement Concept Plan The Town of Queenstown is looking for an engineering consultant to study, analyze, and prepare concept drawings for the dredging of Queenstown Creek USACE navigation channel and placement of dredge material. The dredge material shall be placed beneficially at three possible shoreline restoration Locations. Those being Eastern neck island, Queenstown Harbor Golf Course (South side of Entrance) and Blakeford Farms (North side of Entrance). We are providing more details for sediment samples and reducing number of concepts from 3 to 2 as follows: 1. Collect minimum (8) sediment samples of the dredge material to a depth at least 1’ deeper than design dredge depth (-8’ MLLW) and analyze sediment for grain size. Combine samples and analyze for (1) composite pollutant test following MDE Dredge Material Guidance (pg 27, Table 3). Samples should be spaced equally throughout the dredge channel to best assess the entire channel. Possible segregation of dredge material placement may be necessary based on quality. All acquisition of sediment samples shall follow necessary permissions required. 2. Reduce number of concept drawings to 2 + 2 instead of 3 + 3.
