Site work and paving for a road / highway in Queenstown, Maryland. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The Town of Queenstown is seeking a Licensed Contractor to mill and overlay an approximately 440 ft. x 12 ft. asphalt street in Queenstown, MD. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any requirement. Contractors are encouraged to attend the pre-bid meeting or visit the site prior to bid submission Town of Queenstown is accepting bids for a milling and overlay of asphalt to Wall Street in Queenstown, MD. The repair is approximately 440' feet long and 12' feet wide. Within this repair, the Town is looking to redirect runoff water from the connecting properties which will require added milling and asphalt to achieve a positive drain of run-off water from the fire house directed to MD-456. The area requiring added milling and asphalt is approximately 100 feet in length and 12 feet wide and possibly an additional 1% "to 2" prior to the final overlay of asphalt. The rest of the proposed site will require V/2 of milling and a 3" overlay of new asphalt. Two small asphalt aprons will also be needed to tie in existing asphalt at the back of the fire house and the property with asphalt adjacently across from the fire house. Both aprons will require an 8-foot milling and overlay from the existing edge of Wall St. The remaining 4 driveways are gravel entrances and will also require a smooth transition from new asphalt overlay to their existing driveway. With the overlay, the sewer manhole covers, and water valve pit (curb box) may also need adjusting or risers installed to match proposed new asphalt grade (this will be the responsibility of the contractor awarded the contract). Transition points of new overlayed asphalt and existing asphalt at MD-456 and MD-18 must be a smooth and flush transition. One lane of the street must remain open for residential traffic during construction.
