Bidder will be required to provide Bid Security in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond and Labor & Material Payment Bond in the full amount of the contract. Prospective bidders and sub-bidders requiring clarifications or interpretations of the Bidding Documents shall make requests for such as early in the bidding period as possible. Last day for questions will be Thursday, June 1, 2023 (12:00 P.M. local time). Required interpretations, clarifications, corrections or modifications of the Bidding Documents will be made by Addendum. Such information provided in any other manner will not be binding upon the Architect or the Owner. Last day for issuing an addendum will be Monday, June 5, 2023 (12:00 P.M. local time). Construct project to state of substantial completion as follows, based upon anticipated full County Board action and Notice of Award by July 14, 2023. 1. Owner/Contractor Agreement executed by end of July 2023. 2. Shop drawing submittal/review and order materials in August 2023. 3. Due to long lead times for aluminum doors/hardware and glazing, construction materials will need to be gathered and stored over winter for construction start in April 2024. Once Contractor initiates work, they must remain on site, with continuous work until completion. 4. A single Certificate of Substantial Completion will be issued for project no later than July 31, 2024. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any irregularities in the Bidding, and to award contract in Owner's best interests.
