The Work consists of the following project and includes, but is not limited to, the following scope 1. BCA Project #2242: a. Removal of sloped glazing, vertical glazing, spandrel panels and aluminum storefront doors from existing aluminum storefront framing. b. Installation of replacement glazing, spandrel panels, aluminum storefront doors and door hardware in existing aluminum storefront framing. c. Other miscellaneous work as shown or required by the Construction Documents. Bids are requested by the La Salle County Board for Insulated Glazing Replacement - Phase 2 at La Salle County Criminal Justice Center, 707 E. Etna Road, Ottawa, IL 61350. Work is to be carried out in accordance with Bidding Documents prepared by BCA Architects, Ltd., 620 West Lafayette Street, Ottawa, IL 61350; (815) 434-0108. The work consists of replacing approximately 1,700 S.F. of insulated glass storefront window panels, storefront doors and spandrel panels in existing frames at North Entrances and West Stairwell of the La Salle County Criminal Justice Center, 707 E. Etna Road, Ottawa, IL 61350. Single prime lump sum contract. Bidder will be required to provide Bid Security in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond and Labor & Material Payment Bond in the full amount of the contract. Per La Salle County Ordinance No. 13-60 (dated June 10, 2013), the successful bidder shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor to all laborers, workmen and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). All contractors' bonds shall include a provision as will guarantee the faithful performance of such prevailing wage clause as provided by this bid specification or contract. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any irregularities in the Bidding, and to award contract in Owner's best interests.
