Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Excelsior, Minnesota. Design plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
As of February 28, 2024, a design team has been identified. Carver County Parks Department is seeking professional playground design and engineering services to replace an existing creative play area at Lake Minnewashta Regional Park. Carver County desires to replace the existing playground with a new playground that works to create a physically interactive and socially inclusive environment. An assessment of current playground location is desired to determine if the playground should be reconstructed at that location or moved to an adjacent location. The proposal will include work to engage the public about the design and elements of the playground. The development of the design portion of the work shall dovetail/ allow for smooth transition into the development of construction documents. Construction Year Target: 2024/2025 Estimated Project Amount The estimated project cost to design and construct the playground is $1,000,000.
