Site work for a water / sewer project in Batavia, Illinois. Design plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project has been identified by the Sewer Utility as a priority for the upcoming fiscal years. The Holy Cross force main between Holy Cross Church and Randall Rd. has had numerous catastrophic failures over the past five years. The soils are corrosive, and the ductile iron is being compromised more each year. The Water and Sewer Division plans to install plastic C900 pipe in this area. This forcemain replacement requires many easement agreements, and passes through KDOT ROW, which adds another layer of approval and permits. This project is included in the city's 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Plan. As of June 17, 2024, per owner, this project has been designed but is currently on hold pending funding. Design team has not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
