The City of Altoona is seeking the services of an experienced and qualified firm or company, to submit proposals for repair of exterior items on the Parks Maintenance Building located at 143 N. 10th Street W. These items generally consist of pedestrian door replacement, roof repair, and siding repair. The City of Altoona, hereinafter referred to as the "City", is seeking the services of an experienced and qualified firm or company, hereinafter referred to as the "Proposer" or "Contractor", to provide a proposal for repair of exterior items on the Parks Maintenance Building located at 143 N. 10 th Street W. The City will rely upon the professional knowledge of the Contractor to identify any additional items required for a project of this type, and the Contractor shall include and highlight those items within the proposal. SECTION 2 - SCOPE OF SERVICES The Contractor shall submit a proposal clearly defining all required steps and phases of work required to complete the project. The Proposer shall include a lump sum fee. The Contractor shall address, at a minimum, the following items. A. SIDING REPAIR The existing metal siding has corroded near ground elevation and is damaged in several locations. The City prefers minimal removal and replacement of the siding to the greatest extent possible. B. ROOF REPAIR The existing roof leaks in several locations, resulting in water pockets in the insulation. The Parks Maintenance Depart has noted up to four locations in the past. The Contractor shall propose a method of waterproofing/sealing to prevent further damage. C. DOOR REPLACEMENT Two existing pedestrian doors are to be replaced. The Contractor shall propose a door style that closely matches existing Requests for additional information or clarification must be made in writing. The City will issue responses to inquiries and any other corrections or amendments in written addenda issued prior to the Proposal due date.
