The work of this project consists of obtaining all materials and completing all related work to design and construct 25 ADA ramps within New Cumberland Borough, PA. The work includes, but is not limited to, demolition of existing concrete and asphalt pavement, installation of ADA-compliant curb ramps, and site restoration. The Contractor is responsible for obtaining survey for and designing the ramps as described in the project documents. The Contractor will then submit the designs to the Borough for review and comment by the Borough Engineer. Plans have been included on the Penn BID website indicating the locations where ramps are to be installed. All work will be completed on property owned by the Township or within existing Township right-of-way. New Cumberland Borough, in accordance with Title VI of the U.S. Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Parts 21 and 23 of 49 C.F.R., notifies all respondents that it will affirmatively ensure that MBE/WBE will be afforded full opportunity to submit proposals in response to this invitation and that no person will be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award. Work must be performed to ensure that non-discrimination/sexual harassment provision of the contract documents and the CFA are met. The work shall also conform to the requirements of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Substantial completion shall be Friday, September 29, 2023, and completion of work and final pay shall be Friday, October 13, 2023. The Owner hereby reserves the right to reject any and/or all proposals submitted. The Owner also reserves the right to waive any defects, errors, omissions, irregularities, or informalities in the proposals received.
