The County reserves the right to reject any or all responses in its sole discretion. The County also reserves the right to waive irregularities and technicalities and to re-advertise for additional responses The scope of the professional services sought by the County involves the selected individual or firm providing the County with surveys, development of design alternatives, environmental impact summaries, engineering services, development of traffic data, preparing final plans and specifications, preparing cost estimates, preparing bid documents, preparing contract documents, preparing permit applications, inspecting construction performed by others for the County, and providing other professional services in accordance with the project requirements of the County and the State of Florida on the road construction (road resurfacing) project in Glades County which is generally known as the Lake Drive West (from South of Trout Street to SR 78) Construction Project, FDOT Project No. 446328-1, including permit acquisition which may be required from the US Army Corps of Engineers, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, the EPA, the South Florida Water Management County and other permitting agencies, including Glades County. The selected individual or firm should be able to demonstrate adequate experience in dealing with similar public works projects, preferably within Glades County, including but not limited to all aspects of miscellaneous professional services. Two or more separate responders may be selected by the County to perform different professional services related to the Project such as the design and engineering, permitting, and pre-construction aspect, and the separate construction phase oversight and inspection aspect of the Project. The subject road construction project is being funded by the State of Florida through proceeds administered by the Florida Department of Transportation
